The Actimath platform (actimath.com) is currently operated by Satwik Vasuki, an individual proprietor carrying on business under the trade name Darfun Labs ("we," "our," or "us").

For the purposes of applicable data protection laws, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India), Satwik Vasuki is the Data Fiduciary.

We may assign or transfer the operation of the Actimath platform, together with associated data processing rights and obligations under this Privacy Policy, to a successor entity formed to operate the Actimath business. Continued use of the platform following such transfer shall constitute acceptance of the updated operating entity.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you access or use Actimath. By using the platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

  1. Scope

    This Privacy Policy applies to all users of the Actimath platform, including educators, administrators, institutions, and authorized facility operators.

    Actimath is designed for use in supervised educational environments where adult educators or administrators manage access.

  2. Camera Access and Local Processing

    Actimath requires access to your device camera to enable motion-based gameplay interactions.

    Local Processing
    All camera input and motion tracking are processed locally within your web browser.

    No Storage or Transmission
    We do not record, store, or transmit video feeds, images, or facial recognition data. Camera data remains on the user's device and is not uploaded to our servers except where disclosure may be required by applicable law.

    Permission Control
    Camera access is requested through your web browser. If camera permission is denied, certain gameplay features may not function.

  3. Children's Privacy

    Actimath is intended for use in educational environments involving children; however, accounts are created only for adult educators, administrators, or facility operators.

    We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.

    Schools, educators, or institutions using Actimath are solely responsible for supervising student participation and obtaining any required parental or institutional consents under applicable law before allowing minors to use the service.

    Student gameplay data is stored only in aggregated or anonymized formats at the classroom or center level.

  4. Information We Collect

    We may collect the following categories of information.

    Account Information
    When an account is created or provisioned, we may collect name, email address, and basic profile information such as avatar or display name.

    Subscription and Transaction Data
    We store subscription status, license information, and transaction references. Payment card or banking details are not stored by us and are processed entirely by secure third-party payment providers.

    Technical and Usage Data
    We automatically collect limited technical information such as device or browser type, IP address, system logs, and basic platform performance analytics. This information is used solely to operate, secure, and improve the service.

  5. Legal Basis for Processing

    Under applicable data protection laws, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, personal data may be processed on the basis of:

    • user consent
    • performance of a contract (provision of the Actimath service)
    • legitimate operational requirements necessary to maintain platform functionality and security

    • provide and maintain platform functionality
    • manage subscriptions and licensing

    Information may be processed by trusted third-party service providers that support platform operations, including cloud hosting providers, database services, authentication providers, and payment gateways.     Infrastructure providers supporting the Actimath platform may process or store data outside India. By using the platform, users acknowledge that such transfers may occur in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

    Personal information is retained only while an account remains active or as reasonably necessary to provide the service and comply with legal, accounting, taxation, fraud-prevention, or regulatory obligations. Upon account closure, data is deleted or anonymized within a reasonable period.

    • request correction of inaccurate data
    • request deletion of personal data
    • withdraw consent for certain processing activities

  10. Security Measures

    Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their own devices, networks, and login credentials when accessing the platform.

    No internet-based service can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and use of the platform is at the user's own risk.

    We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect operational, legal, or regulatory changes. Updated versions will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date.

    Continued use of the platform after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
